Bio
Christina Renee Rodriguez (b.1968 Newton, Kansas) is an intuitive, contemplative photographer whose work pushes the limits of the medium through exploration of materials, concepts, visual boundaries, and processes both analog and digital. Her work goes beyond the visual: there are complex ideas behind every image, encompassing both the personal and the universal.
“For me, photography brings a deeper awareness gained through looking longer, closer, and more deeply at the world. I ask the viewer to join me on a creative journey— to step with me into the secret, magical, strangeness that lingers beneath the world of appearance.”
Inspiration and influences include current societal tides, the larger art and photography world, her own multi-location heritage, as well as her experience as a woman in modern America.
